One of the most iconic spots and one of my personal favorites in Los Angeles is the Santa Monica Pier! Take a trip down to the end of Route 66, ride the rides, bike The Strand, swing on the swings and take in all the beach has to offer in Santa Monica!
After being closed for a bit of time due to the pandemic, the pier is back open from 6am-10pm with rides open most days starting at noon. Please note the side stairs may still be closed-locked down although you can access the pier through the main entrance.
There is an abundance of things to do and all the beach vibes to take them in with! My favorite beach day is renting bikes from Boardwalk Bike Rentals and cruising for as long as I can go down the 44 mile round trip Strand. After I have my morning exercise down, grabbing a bite at one of the amazing restaurants, like at Shutters Coast Beach Cafe or lite bites from the beach side vendors.
For the afternoon, I love cozying up on the sand with a book for some sun & fun! I always finish by visiting Pacific Park rides on the Pier. The giant ferris wheel at sunset is simply magical and makes for a great spot to grab a picture!
Once the sun sets, I love playing at the pier arcade or the pier games and I always make sure to win a new stuffed animal for my pup, Molly!
