Hey my TRAVELisms family! I just got home from San Diego and can’t wait to share all the fun Brooklynn & I had. We stayed at the beautiful TOWER23 Hotel in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego. We loved being right on the ocean with gorgeous suites and epic views.
TOWER23 gets its name from the Lifeguard Tower 23 located right by the hotel. We indulged with delicious breakfasts & dinners at the hotel‘s restaurant JRDN. JRDN has scrumptious breakfast options like Steak & Egg Rancheros, Avocado Toast (a Californian specialty), Veggie Scramble and so many more options. Each day we had breakfast in bed, although you can have breakfast at JRDN which is located oceanside within TOWER23 with jaw dropping views.
For dinner, we tried the mouth-watering Lobster Sushi Roll, Tuna Tuna Tuna Roll, Yellowtail Roll and the Ahi Tuna Nachos. Our waiter even made us custom warm sake, which was some of the best I have ever tried. We loved how JRDN has a mix of sea, land and non-meat options. For night two, we went with the Prime Rib and the Dope Mac & Cheese.
In between hanging at the beach, the pier, and on the gorgeous elevated sun deck at TOWER23, we also explored San Diego with our Go City passes. With Go City you can choose between two passes, the All-Inclusive and the Explorer pass, to have access to 55 plus different parks, activities, museums, and more!
We loved the guided tours from GoCar. These open air cars with the power of motorcycles are so fun to cruise around in all while learning about the city with turn by turn navigation.
You can also explore the parks with Go City like SeaWorld, Sesame Place, LegoLand and San Diego Zoo / Zoo Safari. We also loved all the rentals from jet skis, boat tours, paddle-boards, surf boards and more! If you’re looking for museums there are also so many to choose from.
We loved our girls staycation at TOWER23 and exploring with Go City. On our last night, we even took a night swim in the ocean!
