Hey Lovies! I just wrapped up one of the most fantastic weeks with Wellness Week LA. If you have been watching along with my stories you probably saw all the fun & action but I wanted to break it down for you, just in case you missed anything đ
My wellness journey began on Monday, March 25 with a 3 Day All Access Pass to the Legendary & Luxury Fitness Center, Equinox. I took a full tour of the beautiful facilities then got my sweat on. I was so excited to try out some of the classes too!! They have several locations in Los Angeles including Beverly Hills, Century City, Culver City, DTLA, Hollywood, Miracle Mile, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Westwood and 5 clubs in The Valley. After Equinox, I headed over to my favorite girls at In8Love Chiropractic for a quick tune up and some deep stretching đââď¸ In8Love is located right on the Santa Monica-Brentwood line and provides a deep analysis of what underlying problems could be causing ailments. They put together a plan to work with you on an ongoing basis to fully align your body, mind & soul. Check out my full blog post for more on In8Love đ I ended the night at CorePower Yoga. If you know me then you know Iâm a super big baby when it comes to hot đĽľyoga but they have several classes, some of which have barely any heat, which was perfect for me. I flowed my way into relaxation and slept like a baby that night. CorePower has tons of locations in LA and they are offering a free week right now, so definitely go try them out!
On Day Two, I started my morning with a walk & stair climb in Silver Lake. These stairs were so cute & pained like a giant key board. After a good little AM sweat sesh, I made my way to LA DanceFit. They have two studios at their West LA location, one upstairs and one downstairs. They also offer an array of classes for anyone who just LOVES to dance đđź The class I took was choreography. They move at the perfect pace to be able to learn even at the beginner level but challenging enough for those who dance regularly.
Day Three was an another double sesh day with an AM dance class at The Sweat Spot in SilverLake followed by Orangetheory Fitness. I fell in love at Orangetheory with all the pre-class knowledge they share. So the Orange comes from the different zones you can hit during the work out based off of your heart rate monitor. Everyoneâs zone is shared on one of the multiple screens in the workout zone which consists of treadmills, water rowing machines and a weight-bench station. During the class you can get splat points. I was hoping these were like slot points and you could redeem them for free classes although they were not, but how cool would that be?đ§ĄNeed to head back to Orangetheory and try them out again- this was a fun class!!
Day Four brought me to Venice and when in Venice you have to start the day with a walk on the beach, and maybe a visit to the iconic Venice Sign. After I soothed my soul, listening to the waves crash, I went over to Human Garage. I wasnât sure what to expect but all I can say is WOW. If your in Venice on April 17th definitely stop by for their open house!! In a converted tri-level home, with a breathtaking roof top deck, this location would be a treat in itself to spend an afternoon at, never-mind the amazing services they offer. They analyze your walking, standing and health concerns and then take a holistic approach to make micro adjustments to solve any issues you may be having. They also offer massages, sound baths and so much more!! Feeling a new skip to my beat, I strolled over to Osteo Strong đŞđźto take in some healing Red Light therapy with the Joovv system. Stay tuned for my full review coming soon on Osteo Strong for all your Bio-Hacking needs!! To end my day, I finished with an intense Pilates Class at Pilates Platinum also in Venice. Not in Venice? Donât worry they also have Studios in Santa Monica, Brentwood & Hollywood đ
Day Five I scheduled strategically to be full of self care. I started my morning starting with a Facial at Kate Somerville!! Located right off of Melrose Ave, above Alfred, this draw dropping, absolutely gorgeous location was a perfect start to my self care journey!! You start by getting your skin analyzed, and yes Loves, my skin is officially 2 years older than me đ. I told myself itâs just cause Iâm a giant kid on the inside but then thought back to all those days in my teens laying out with tanning oil on đ(bad Heidi). Donât worry as a mature adult 𤪠I now wear spf 50 on my face everyday!! I highly recommend the oxygen infused facial with green mask- it is seriously a game changer!! After feeling hydrated & refreshed, I made my way over to the Drip Doctors for my B12 shot. I was really nervous about this one. Not going to lie, I hate needles. Thank goodness for the Pain Ease they use because I didnât feel or see a thing. This was a quick, Pain-Free and a very positive experience!! To end my night, I did a double dose of meditation at Unplugged and loved the wrap party there!! I may have OD on Beauty Bar Chocolate đŤbut it has collagen, so I figured itâs okay đ¤Ł!!
Wow, are we already on Day Six?! This day bonded me with some of the sweetest, most caring people out there as we embarked on a hike with the LA Hike Club!! I love their guided hikes, the group stretching and city information they provide (and the healthy version of icee pops at the top of the climb they provide)!! Day six was one for the books but then came....
Day seven was my final day of Wellness Week đand something I had been wanting to try my whole life, a wellness retreat. This mini one day retreat by Revamp Retreats was located in Venice Beach and felt like a tropical journey to a different world. Friendships were made, laughs were shared and knowledge was taught. I found myself feeling so grateful for everyone and everything I had experienced. Instead of feeling sad like I started the day feeling knowing Wellness Week was coming to an end, I left with an open heart and friendships that I know will go long beyond Wellness Week!! đ
Bonus:
As promised, here are my three Bag of ISMS items I couldnât put down during the week!!
One: Dirty Lemon Water
Two: Degree Fresh Wipes
Three: Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry đScent
